CoriumArtorium

Art that speaks to you

When I was deep in thought about selecting an artistic name, I knew that I wanted it to be more than just a simple label; it needed to convey something significant. I began to reflect on my drawings themselves, attempting to articulate them from my unique perspective.

This personal reflection is what led me to the name Corium Artorium. As I delved into my entire body of work, I began to notice a recurring theme-a unique blend of art styles that I've woven together in my own distinctive manner. This versatility and originality in my art led me to connect it back to my other passion for nuclear science, particularly an element known as Corium.

Corium, a substance formed from the radioactive materials following a reactor's core meltdown, has been created only five times in history. By intertwining my deep interests in both art and scientific themes, particularly how my artwork embodies a fusion of numerous styles, I arrived at the name Corium Artorium. This fusion of art and science is not just a name, but a reflection of my inspiration and creative process.

More Than Just Art: It’s an Experience

My name is David, and I have found that creating my unique art style has been both an enjoyable and challenging experience. This journey has allowed me to appreciate the work of other creators much more than I did before. I would like to share with you my story and the various steps I took along the way in creating Corium Artorium.

I never really had a clear vision of pursuing art until one unexpected day during the pandemic, when I found myself incredibly bored. In an attempt to pass the time, I decided to fill an entire page with just random things that came to my mind. After putting only a little effort into creating that page, I suddenly realized how incredibly relaxing it can be to let go of everything around you and simply draw whatever comes to mind.

This moment of insight prompted me to embark on a journey of exploring beyond the usual boundaries of creativity, and I began drawing all the time. I would find myself drawing between video game sessions just to fill in that extra time, and I dedicated myself to painting and creating anything I could think of, purely for my enjoyment. After four years of dedicated practice and continuous growth in my artistic capabilities, I am finally at a point where I want everyone to experience the same joy I have when creating something wholly new and unexpected.
